Join the membership of LGPA/GOAL Chicago, law enforcement conference attendees from around the country and internationally, and other community members for an amazing night of gourmet food, inspiring speakers, award presentations, and awesome performances, from 6pm to 10pm on June 26th, in the Grand and State Ballroom at the Palmer House Hilton, 17 E. Monroe in Chicago.

Sharon Gless, the Bridge to Unity award and other award presentations

This first annual “Bridge to Unity” award, to be presented to award-winning actress Ms. Sharon Gless, is named for the theme and mission of the 14th Annual International LGBT Conference for Law Enforcement & Criminal Justice Professionals, being hosted this year in Chicago by LGPA/GOAL Chicago during pride week. Be a part of paying tribute to this star of Cagney & Lacey, Queer as Folk, Hannah Free and Burn Notice.

LGPA/GOAL Chicago will be distinguishing several other community members and law enforcement conference attendees with awards as well, including a Distinguished Service Award, a Community Service Award, the GOAL Chicago award, LGPA History award, and the Mike Cherry memorial award. 

Inspiring speakers and amazing performances

The gala will also feature several speakers including Deputy Police Chief A.J. Moore, the highest ranking transgendered officer in Illinois, Captain Nancy Lipman of the Chicago Police Department, and recognized documentary filmmaker and public speaker Greg R. Baird.

The Artemis Singers, the lesbian feminist chorus, will entertain us as well!

The silent auction will include an exciting variety of packages provided by our supportive sponsors and community members.

Update: Although some attendees will be dressing formally, LGPA/GOAL Chicago wants everyone to be comfortable during this event! Please dress as you feel appropriate with business casual attire at a minimum. Thank you!
